There is no shortage of places to munch in Ubud, but like anywhere, there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here’s some of the best, in my very humble, and very wise opinion. Particularly when your dodgy tum is craving something you’re used to.

If you’re in Bali and looking for some more wholesome activities, away from the hardcore instagram spots and beach clubs of Canggu and Seminyak, Ubud is your place to go. No hate to the beach club insta girlies – if I had the patience to sit in the sun all day, and the genuine power to look that good in 35 degree heat, I’d be one of those too. You could spend weeks in Ubud mooching your way around all the amazing activities that there are to do. Here are some of my favourites.

Gili T, a food haven. Honestly, an everything haven. I’ve never quite experienced somewhere that transforms so much from day to night. The day brings crystal beaches, snorkelling with turtles, cycling around the island and shopping for shell necklaces. The evening is flooded with busy bars, tipsy backpackers and joss shots coming out of your ears (not literally. Unless maybe you want them to? We could figure something out).

One thing that stays the same, no matter the time of day, is the munch. Let me help you differentiate the good from the glorious.
